November 2020 Favorites!
Ok, ok-the Tums are obviously a pregnancy joke.
Here's what I've been obsessed with this month!
Zodiac Resin Dominoes by Xxplortivity - $70 // Looking to beat some 2020 cabin fever? Pick up these beautiful hand-made dominoes from Xxplortivity on Etsy. Pat and I have been using this set a LOT this month and I just love how glamorous they are!
This edgy and unique resin shop is black-owned and the owner is actually a childhood friend of mine! Each one of her sets is absolutely stunning and can be customized with a mixture of different colors, foils, and crystals. I mean, honestly... you could get regular old bland dominoes but.... you won't feel half as fabulous.
NARS Soft Matte Complete Foundation - $40 // As a dry-skinned gal I was really nervous initially to try out NARS' new matte foundation. Usually matte foundations leave me looking hella crypt keeper within the hour. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how subtle the mattifying effect is on this foundation! It kept the t-zone in check while making sure I wasn't looking crusty and dusty around my nostrils and mouth.
Extra points! I'm currently suffering from the lovely mask of pregnancy and this foundation covered all of the dark patches of skin on my face, leaving me with a beautiful even skin tone that was matte- but still luminous *in my Tyra voice*
Sis is FULL COVERAGE! If you need a foundation that covers up redness, dark circles, scars, ex-boyfriends, bad credit, and student loan debt?....this is definitely the foundation for you, boo.
No-slip Comfort Velvet Adjustable Wig Grip - $7 // It took me FOREVER as usual to hop on the wig grip band wagon but baybeeee! When I tell you this wig grip keeps my lil' hair hats in place all day long! Listen, we're going to church today-
When my edges say there is NO WAY the Wig Grip makes a way, amen?
I can sweat.
I can run outside in gale force winds.
I can have biblical relations with my husband
I can do a top knot, a messy bun, some space buns (hallelujah!)
I can go to sleep without a bonnet on and does she slip?!
No she does not! Can the church say amen?! If you're an avid wig wearer like me and you haven't picked her up yet, I strongly recommend!
Melt Me Down Lace Melting and Holding Spray & Remover - $43 // Speaking of strong- lace front lovers, meet your new best friend. If you've been tuning in for my most recent wig reviews you have heard about this lace holding spray AT LEAST 4 times in the last month.
The Kafune "Melt me Down" holding spray is like the love child between Got 2 B Glued spray and Bold Hold. It's truly the perfect intermediate step between those wanting to go a little stronger than Got 2 B but a little less intimidating than real glue.
What I like most about it is how quickly it dries down-no more holding the blowdryer to your head for 10-15 mins to get your lace to adhere. If you pick up the set on Amazon, you also get the "Mellow Out" remover spray (also bomb). It gently lifts your lace without damaging your oh-so precious edges. We stan.
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish in Totem-ly Yours - $8 // I've found it. The perfect budget nude polish. This Sally Hansen polish is also available at your local drugstore but I picked mine up on Amazon. It's a really classic and neutral nude shade that goes perfect with everything! With the pandemic causing sporadic closures of local nail salons, I've had to get creative with doing my own manicures (DIY press-on post coming soon!) and I seemed to just keep gravitating to this shade all month. Truly, the Beyonce of nail polish shades-it never misses.
Huda Beauty Naughty Nude Eyeshadow Palette - $67 // Last but most certainly not least is this sultry palette from Huda Beauty that released this month. This palette is a stunning blend of smokey chocolate and burgundy shades with some truly gorgeous foils and metallics. Besides that really strange gloss bead shade (ahem...) this palette is a fabulous addition to your beauty bag for the fall to winter transition.
Well that wraps up November! Eleven months down and one to go until we can finally kiss 2020's raggedy ass goodbye! In the meantime, let me know what you think of the line-up this month. Do you have any of these products? What did you think of them?
